She dreamt she travelled to the moon with her lover. They found a placid lake on the surface. They swam in the moon lake, the water leaving their skin glistening with moonbeam. She left the water, dripping, to walk the shoreline as the dark moon sky showed her the near by planets – Earth, Mars, Venus – and the far away other-suns. She found moon shells, moon rocks of infinite variations, and the occasional shard of ethereal, ancient pottery, made by long forgotten extinct tribes of moon women and men. She filled a small cloth bag with the treasures, anxious to show them to friends and family back on Earth. Further down the shoreline, her lover came out of the lake onto the shore, the moon water cascading down his long limbs as it ran down his lean frame, back lit by a million bits of starlight, and she smiled.
